Creative Writing Course

Description
What is the course about?
Creative writing is about expression, learning some basic skills and techniques helps us to express ourselves even more effectively, and have more fun too! On completion of the course, children will be more confident and better equipped to tackle creative writing tasks and exercises. Practice alone is sometimes not enough - we want to share the tips and tricks we believe will give a child's writing an edge, covering the KS2 curriculum and maximising their chances of clearing the creative writing section for the 11+ exam.

As part of this course, we will cover how to write:
• a story
• start or end a story
• a letter
• a diary entry
• an account or report of a specific event
• a balanced argument

Who will benefit from the course?
Our creative writing course will be valuable to all, enabling children to develop a richer and more engaging writing style, whether for academic studies or their own enjoyment. In particular, children preparing for exams (including the Grammar School 11+, Independent School Exam or the SATs KS2 Test) will find their technique improved and their confidence soaring!
